Several Sydney Uni regular fencers made the podium at the weekend’s Veteran competitions: Paul Kurtyka (Men’s Epee Gold), Taewon Song (Men’s Epee Bronze) and Harriet Jordan (Mixed Sabre Gold).

Congratulations to Sholto Douglas, Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness Elite Athlete Program member, who placed 21st at the World Championships Men's Foil in Leipzig. This is the best result achieved by any Australian fencer at the Senior World Championships since 2003.

Congratulations to Sholto Douglas for his recent performance at the Asian Senior Championships in Hong Kong.

Last weekend, NSW Fencing held Novice and Veteran competitions, and Sydney Uni fencers were well represented on the podiums.

Congratulations to everyone who competed at AFC2 in Adelaide last weekend. It was a great comp with some outstanding performances from our Sydney Uni club members, including a number of top eight finishes.

Congratulations to two of our scholarship fencers, Sholto Douglas and Jesse Morris, for their recent international performances.

A number of Sydney Uni representatives and other club members competed in last weekend’s NSWFA competitions: the Tony Dominguez Memorial Open Epee, President's Cup Open Foil, Novak Open Sabre and the Novice Challenge #1 in all three weapons.
